Last week Gisele Bundchen was promoting her skin care line, Sejaa, in Brazil. This is where she supposedly said ”I cannot put this poison on my skin, I do not use anything synthetic” when referring to sunscreen. Needless to say, angry reactions erupted from dermatologists and fans around the world.
Days later, Gisele’s camp responds. “Gisele would never say not to use sunscreen because she has had family members who have had skin cancer. She simply stated that her all-natural skin-care line does not have SPF because there is not an all natural SPF available. When using sunscreens, she selects ones that are free of parabens, oxybenzone, PABA and retinyl palmitate” says publicist Amber Clapp.
“They misquoted her due to a language barrier.” Hmmmm. Lost in Translation? Publicity stunt? Who knows, but it did force me take a moment and look at her skincare line which consists of 3 all natural products. Do you need another mud mask? On Gisele’s site, she has three application demo videos. While watching her apply these products; I actually wanted to jump into my laptop screen and give her a helping hand.
Gisele, let me know if you would like a personal facialist… I’m available
